Blankets for Babies
Each month, the Blankets for Babies team produces newborn products to give to underprivileged mothers at Hospital Carlos Luis Valverde Vega, at the north end of San Ramon Central. The packets include handmade items: a plastic changing mat, a blanket, five burpies, two rubber pants, five cloth diapers, a toy, and a carrying sling. This group has provided 20 packets per month to the hospital for the past four years!
Please support this program by donating through Global Giving, giving your cash donation to any Board member at CAA-sponsored events, or emailing linda@caacr.org for more information.
You can also help by donating terry cloth for burpies, soft material/flannel for blankets and sheets for blanket backing, plastic matting for ground/changing pads, and soft cotton fabric to make stuffed toys. Ropa Americana is a great place to go hunting for these items if you don’t have them at home.
